Summer Exploration!

We had a great time at our Exploration class tonight! Even though it’s summer break, these athletes were working their hardest. Coach George started out the warm up with leg swings. During the practice, we worked on arm drills, agility and strength training.

Toward the end of practice, Coach George had the girls doing pushups. He watched them closely to make sure they were using proper form and technique. One girl asked if it was OK if her elbows were angled outward. She was also struggling to keep her back straight. Coach George showed her the proper form and explained to her what could happen to her body in the long run if she didn’t use good form.

She watched and listened and completed the exercise with awesome pushups. “No one ever showed me how to do them before,” she said.
